Submitting For A Permit

IF YOU ARE A LICENSED CONTRACTOR you may submit Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing permits via Oregon E-permitting (this option is currently not available for other permit types including structural).  For customers who are not licensed contractors and would like to apply for Mechanical, Electrical or Plumbing Permits please see the corresponding forms on the bottom of the page and either call to set a submittal appointment as below, or, submit the application to permitcheck@bentoncountyor.gov and a Permit Technician will respond within two business days.

For all other applications we are currently accepting building permit related submittals by appointment only.  Appointments can be made for on the hour during the hours of 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM with the last appointment available at 12:00. To make an appointment or ask questions in advance please call 541-766-6297, or email permitcheck@bentoncountyor.gov.  Please refer to our list of application forms at the bottom of the page.  See our Single Family Dwelling or Manufactured Home page for the documents required at the time of submittal in order to consider the submittal complete.  Applications will not be accepted if all items listed on these pages are not provided at the time of submittal.

Important note: For any structural related applications such as Agricultural Exemption Permit, Demolition Permit, Change of Use Permit, Manufactured Home Permit, Single Family Dwelling, or projects that expand on the existing footprint of a structure, you will be required to submit a Site Plan (plot plan) which provides a map of the existing conditions on your property including where existing items are such as structures, wells, and septic systems, and where your proposed project will be in correlation to them and property lines. A complete Site Plan no larger than 11”x17” must include all the items listed on the Site Plan Checklist.

Applications missing the required information will be delayed.
