Come learn the story of Letitia Carson, one of Benton County’s first Black residents (came to Oregon in 1845) and likely first black landowner in Oregon. Join us on a fieldtrip to her original homestead. Lunch will be provided.

8:30 – 9 AM:light breakfast and informal Leticia Carson Legacy Project updates
9 AM -12:45 PM:Ten speakers across three panels:
History: Zachary Stocks, Hailey Brink, Larry Landis
Land: Luhui Whitebear, Travis Mulliniks, Kelly Bosworth, Lauren Gwin
Legacy: Charlotte Epps, David Stucky, 3rd Presenter TBA
After lunch: Field trip vans to Leticia Carson’s homestead; return by 5 pm.
