Willamette Community and Grange Hall Tour

Location: 27555 Greenberry Rd (8 miles south of Corvallis at corner with Hwy 99 W)

Meet Jay Sexton, President of the Willamette Grange #52 at this Historic Building, built in 1923 and undergoing audacious renovation. Grange is a Community Organization that responds to local needs, which has been active in Oregon since 1873. The current building is the third for this particular Grange, Having lost two Halls to fire in 1899 and in 1922.

Often mischaracterized as farm organizations, Granges do many different activities in their communities, depending on needs, and the abilities and interests of the Grange membership.Willamette Grange has been continuously active in our County for 153 years, and today annually holds several free family events.

The Hall was on a knife’s edge between demolition and restoration in 2019 when new energy was focused on restoration of this significant historical Hall.Come see the Hall, hear about Grange History, and ask questions about this Building and the Grange.
