Location: Albany Public Library, 2450 14th Ave SE, Albany

Presented by Dr. David Lewis

Harwood Hall was the superintendent of Chemawa and Sherman Indian schools and used Native students and culture to develop the schools in the early 20th century. Hall and his wife benefited socially from their use of Native culture. Issues of Indian education, appropriation of Native culture, and misuse of Native students highlight this presentation.
