Structural Permits

General services and inquiries are available by email and phone from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.  In-person services are available by appointment from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Please call 541-766-6819 or email to permitcheck@bentoncountyor.gov to schedule appointments or ask questions in advance.

Project Description

Please state if the project will be increasing in footprint, remaining within the same footprint or increasing in footprint.  This will help determine the type of review process necessary for the project.

Additional Bedroom

If additional bedrooms are being proposed, you will need to complete an on site septic permit application along with the structural permit application.

Prescriptive Roof Mounted Solar Array System

Requires a structural permit application and an electrical permit application. Please note ground mount solar array systems need Planning Division approval. For questions, please call the Planning Division at 541-766-6819.

  • New/Additions/Remodels/Alterations
  • Roof Mounted Solar Array
  • Foundation Repair

Additional Processes and Requirements for Structural Permits

At the time of submittal please provide the following documents:

  • Supplemental documents (e.g. truss engineering, structural calculations)

Any Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing projects will require separate permits

Structural Permits and the Floodplain

If your proposed structure or demolition is within the floodplain you will also need to submit a floodplain development application.
